Vintage 19th-century porcelain centerpiece from the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory, decorated in colours and gold. The stem is crafted in biscuit porcelain and modelled as a classical female figure, while the tray and base feature rich grotesque-style decoration.
The design was created by Henrik O. B. Olrik in 1859. Olrik was closely involved in producing the Factory’s popular biscuit reproductions of Thorvaldsen’s reliefs, sculptures, and busts.
Tray and Figurine can be separated.
