Pair of 19th Century Ice Buckets

Elevated by four gilded lion paw feet with sphinx terminals, these wonderful ice buckets depict landscape and a pair of ducks titled as 'Le Canard sifleur/ huppé', 'La Sarcelle de Java', 'Le Canard Sauvage', 'Le Cravant', and labeled as male or female, respectively, above an iron-red base with intricate gold borders, and enhanced with two ornate gilt handles.
